Beam Party turns nearby phones into controllers for a game running on Apple TV or Mac. This service is operated by Angus McGregor. This policy explains the limited information needed to make that connection work.

Information we process

• Your chosen player name and colour.
• Random room, device, and connection identifiers.
• Live button, pointer, motion, and gameplay data while you play.
• Basic network information needed to deliver and protect the service.

How we use it

We use this information only to connect controllers, run the current room, reconnect a dropped controller, prevent abuse, and operate Beam Party. We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or track you across apps or websites.

Storage and deletion

Active room data is temporary. It is deleted when the host ends the room and normally expires about five minutes after the host disconnects. Your controller browser stores your name, a random identifier, and preferences on that device so reconnecting is easier. You can remove that local data by clearing site data for playbeam.party.

Service provider

Cloudflare provides the network and hosting infrastructure used by Beam Party and processes data on our behalf to deliver and secure the service.

Children

Beam Party does not require an account and is not directed specifically to children. Do not enter sensitive personal information as a player name.
